Hi, I’m Eric.

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere on this site, and as I often mention in real life, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I attended the University of Pittsburgh, where I graduated with a dual major in History and English Writing. Though I understood that these were two equally useless liberal arts degrees, I was determined to put my love of writing and learning to work for me.

After traveling and spending time in places like Guatemala, France, and Ecuador, I began my career in the digital and traditional media. My first jobs were for Business Insider, The Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and SportsGrid. After a brief stint in PR, and a longer stint as a freelance writer and content creator, I moved over to content marketing, where I’ve grown my skillset to include SEO, content strategy, and customer acquisition and retention.

Throughout it all, my love of writing and traveling has remained. I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world while supporting myself as a writer, from Mexico City to the mountains of Myanmar. I continue to write about what moves me when I travel, and am always working on personal essays about my experiences, my memories, and my perspective.

When I’m not writing or working, I’m exploring New York through food, playing tennis, and waiting for the Knicks to win a championship.
